Embraer
Embraer has
had another incredible year with new product
announcements and support offerings
progressing pretty much on schedule. Both the
Phenom 100 and the 300 are on display at the
static park, with the 300 making its first
appearance outside Brazil. Certification of
the 100 is expected imminently, though at the
time of going to press Affonso remained
tight-lipped as to an exact date:
ÄúWe are very close to full
certification, which will probably happen
this month or next month. We are confident
that we will meet all specification
requirements.Äù
Embraer
has delivered an ERJ-145 regional airliner to
state-owned oil company PetroEcuador. The
aircraft is configured with 50 seats and will
be used to transport company employees from
Equador's capital Quito to Lago Agrio and El
Coca in the Amazon region. The ERJ-145 family
has been in operation since 1996, and has
logged more than 14 million flight hours,
says Embraer.
Embraer
announced at the show today that it is
broadening its Embraer Executive Care
program (EEC) to include the Phenom 100 and
Phenom 300 jets. This gives owners of the
very light and light jets the predictability
of a fixed-cost maintenance support.
Initially, the EEC program will offer
coverage for in most of North America, South
America and Europe. ÄúThe
EEC program has become such an important and
popular part of the Legacy 600 ownership
experience that we are now pleased to extend
it to Phenom 100 and Phenom 300
customers,Äù says Edson
Carlos Mallaco, Embraer vice president,
